At Grupo Miguel Ramon, we were delighted to actively participate in the Biodiversity and Sustainable Agri-Food Systems Conference held on May 19th. The setting for this event could not have been more fitting: the Assembly Hall of the School of Agricultural and Environmental Engineering at the Universitat Politècnica de València (UPV), a leading scientific and academic institution.
As a transport company, we understand that sustainability is not only cultivated in the fields but also along every kilometre of the supply chain. This high-level strategic event provided an excellent opportunity to exchange ideas, perspectives, and synergies with major European supermarket chains, producers from the Valencia region, and international representatives of the German Food for Biodiversity Foundation.
Throughout the conference, we explored in depth the impact of the Biodiversity Grow Standard, reinforcing the crucial role that efficient and sustainable transport plays in connecting Valencian agriculture with the most demanding international markets—particularly those in Central Europe—while ensuring maximum freshness and minimising environmental impact.
For us, aligning logistics and transport with ecological preservation and the integration of global standards is not a future ambition; it is a commitment we uphold today.
We will continue building partnerships, advancing sustainable mobility, and applying innovative technologies across the agri-food supply chain
